WestInvest Gesellschaft für Investmentfonds mbH

Part of the Deka Group since 2004

WestInvest was founded in April 1989 as Rheinisch-Westfälische Grundstücks-Investment GmbH (RWGI), a subsidiary of WestLB. In 1998, the company was renamed WestInvest Gesellschaft für Investmentfonds mbH (WestInvest). Together with the management company Deka Immobilien Investment GmbH, WestInvest trades as Deka Immobilien and has been part of the Deka Group since 2004, with DekaBank Deutsche Girozentrale currently holding a stake of 94.9%. The remaining 5.1% is held by WIV GmbH & Co. Beteiligungs KG, based in Frankfurt am Main. DekaBank also holds a 94.9% stake in WIV GmbH & Co. Beteiligungs KG.

The WestInvest product range includes open-ended real estate mutual funds and institutional special AIFs with fixed investment terms.

Today, WestInvest can look back on more than 30 years of experience in managing open-ended real estate funds. Over time, the company has repeatedly proven its ability to be innovative by launching new, breakthrough products. Its decision to pioneer the concept of funds inflow management with WestInvest InterSelect, for example, made the management company a vanguard in the industry. WestInvest continued to break new ground in 2003 when it launched WestInvest ImmoValue, an open-ended real estate mutual fund specifically for institutional investors.

Burkhard Dallosch has been a Managing Director of Deka Immobilien Investment GmbH and WestInvest Gesellschaft für Investmentfonds mbH since 2009. As Chief Risk Officer (CRO), he is responsible for the Finance, Risk and Taxes of the Deka Group’s Real Estate business division

The business economist has more than 30 years of experience in the finance and real estate industries. Previous roles included head of Wohnungsbauförderanstalt (housing promotion agency – Wfa) for the state development bank of North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW Bank), CRO/CFO for a mortgage bank and head of a foreign branch of a major bank with responsibility for the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

Esteban de Lope Fend

Esteban de Lope Fend has been a Managing Director of Deka Immobilien Investment GmbH and WestInvest Gesellschaft für Investmentfonds mbH since 2020 and is responsible for fund management, product development and sales support.

He has held a variety of positions at Deka since 2002, most recently as Head of Real Estate Fund Management for open-ended retail real estate funds and before that Fund Manager for the Deka-ImmobilienGlobal and Deka-ImmobilienEuropa real estate mutual funds for almost ten years. Before joining Deka, he worked as a construction and project manager at a variety of real estate and construction companies.

Esteban de Lope Fend is a Certified International Investment Analyst (DFVA) and holds degrees in civil engineering from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, industrial engineering from the University of Freiberg and real estate economics (ebs). He has been a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) since 2005.

Marcus Rösch, Managing Director, Real Estate Fund Management Institutional Clients

Marcus Rösch has been Managing Director of WestInvest Gesellschaft für Investmentfonds mbH since July 2021 and is responsible for institutional real estate fund management and further development of the range of products for institutional investors at Deka.

After joining Deka in 2008, Marcus Rösch initially held the position of fund manager for institutional fund mandates. This was followed by a variety of management positions in real estate fund management, leading to his latest position as Managing Director, Real Estate Fund Management for the institutional business at Deka. Prior to Deka, he worked at IVG Institutional Funds (formerly Oppenheim Immobilien-KVG), Bankhaus Sal. Oppenheim and Dresdner Bank. Marcus Rösch has a degree in business administration (Diplom-Kaufmann) from the University of Gießen and a master of laws degree from the University of Münster. He also studied at the European Business School (ebs) in Oestrich-Winkel, graduating in real estate economics (ebs). He has been a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors since 2006 and was named a Fellow (FRICS) in 2019.

Victor Stoltenburg

Victor Stoltenburg has been a Managing Director of Deka Immobilien Investment GmbH since 2019 and Managing Director of WestInvest Gesellschaft für Investmentfonds mbH since 2024. In his role as Head of Real Estate Acquisitions and Sales he is responsible for investment management across 27 national markets, including transaction structuring and treasury.

He was Head of Acquisitions and Sales Germany for Deka Immobilien for close to 11 years before his appointment to Managing Director.

After studying law, he held a variety of legal positions at Pünder Volhard Weber & Axster (now Clifford Chance) in Berlin and Philipp Holzmann AG in Frankfurt, among others. Starting in 2005, he worked as Real Estate Investment Manager for SEB Immobilien-Investment GmbH (Frankfurt) and Union Investment Real Estate (Hamburg), where he was responsible for real estate investments in other European countries.

Gesa Wilms

Gesa Wilms Managing Director/COO

Gesa Wilms has been a Managing Director of Deka Immobilien Investment GmbH and WestInvest Gesellschaft für Investmentfonds mbH since April 2024. As Chief Operating Officer (COO), her responsibilities include digital transformation, process and data management, procurement management and marketing.

Wilms has a background in real estate economics (IREBS) and roughly 20 years of experience in the property sector. She has held various positions at Deka since 2008, having spent the past six years heading up the Real Estate Services department. In this role, she was responsible for the central management of all real estate services and property management processes. During this time, she also spent two years as a member of the Supervisory Board of the two management companies. After graduating with a master’s degree in philology and political science, she began her professional career at Deutsche Telekom Immobilien.
