Over 200 properties acquired for EUR 17.9 billion since 2018

Over the past five years (2018 to 2022), we have acquired and sold roughly EUR 21.3 billion in real estate. In that time, Deka Immobilien acquired a total of 225 high-quality properties and projects with an overall volume of EUR 17.9 billion through individual and portfolio deals.

Entering new markets with growth potential plays a major role in our transaction strategy. To date, we have invested in various countries in Europe, North and South America, and the Asia-Pacific region. In the past five years, Deka Immobilien’s investment focus has been on European markets such as Germany, the UK, the Netherlands, France and Italy. Outside Europe, the company’s real estate acquisitions have centred on the US, Australia and Canada.

Our acquisitions in 2022: just under 30 properties with a volume of more than EUR 2.4 billion

Deka Immobilien once again identified and seized numerous investment opportunities in 2022, despite the challenging environment. As a result, we recorded a transaction volume of around EUR 3.1 billion in total for our retail funds and institutional products. We acquired 28 properties in ten countries with a volume of more than EUR 2.4 billion. Meanwhile, we sold 19 properties in six countries with a volume of EUR 654 million. We mainly invested in core European countries, especially Germany and the Netherlands, as well as in the US.
