Limehome moves into Hamburg’s Metropolis House

Deka Immobilien has signed a new lease for its Metropolis House in Hamburg. Limehome, Europe’s leading provider of serviced apartments, will take up approximately 4,000 sqm on a long-term basis at Dammtorstrasse 29–32. The office space on the first and second floors will be converted, with a total of 90 apartments for business and leisure travelers scheduled to open in 2026.

Located in the heart of the city between Gänsemarkt and the Hamburg State Opera, Metropolis House has been part of the open-ended real estate fund Deka-ImmobilienEuropa since 2011.

The property is much more than a modern office and commercial address. It is a place of cultural heritage and home to the listed Metropolis Cinema, which has been an integral part of Hamburg’s film scene since 1979. The building also serves as a flagship project for sustainable real estate and most recently achieved DGNB Platinum certification in 2024.

In addition, Metropolis House is a vibrant urban hub with excellent public transport links, a wide range of restaurants and retail options, and a lively cultural environment.
