MediaMarkt to become new office tenant at DC Tower Vienna

Deka Immobilien has let approximately 3,000 sqm of office space at DC Tower Vienna to MediaMarkt Österreich GmbH. The Austrian subsidiary of one of Europe’s leading consumer electronics retailers will relocate its headquarters to the tower. The lease will commence in October 2026. The space has been fitted out in line with MediaMarkt Austria’s specific requirements.

A landmark with substance

At around 250 metres, DC Tower is Austria’s tallest office building and one of Europe’s most striking office properties. It is also among the most slender skyscrapers in the world. Designed by French architect Dominique Perrault and opened in February 2014, the high-rise building is located in the Donau City urban development area and has been part of the Deka portfolio since 2017.

The tower offers approximately 75,000 sqm of lettable space across 60 floors and is fully occupied. It combines the highest sustainability standards with a strong tenant mix of renowned companies from the consulting, pharmaceutical, industrial and financial services sectors, as well as the five-star Meliá Vienna hotel. Originally constructed in line with EU Green Building standards, the property was awarded LEED® Platinum certification in 2015 and additionally received a BREEAM AT rating of “Excellent” in 2025. A fully renewable electricity supply, photovoltaic systems and energy-regenerating lifts underline the tower’s forward-looking operational concept.

Work, wellbeing and relaxation

DC Tower is more than just an office building. Accommodating around 6,500 people, it offers a fitness centre with swimming pool, a wide range of dining options and a prime location on the banks of the Danube—creating an environment that combines work and quality of life. Sustainable mobility plays a key role: users have access to an app-based fleet of electric cars, bicycles and scooters, as well as fully equipped cycling facilities including a workshop, changing rooms and showers. The building also benefits from excellent public transport connections.
