We are particularly proud that we have achieved a hat trick by winning in these three important categories and have been able to defend our titles as Best Asset Manager in the Real Estate Global category for the third time in a row and in the Retail Real Estate Europe category for the fifth time in a row. Deka Immobilien's institutional real estate business won the award in the Institutional Real Estate Europe category for the third time this year, following wins in 2020 and 2021.
Scope Awards ceremony 2026
The jury's reasoning:
Scope justified the renewed award with the 1-, 3- and 5-year performance of the established Deka real estate funds, which was well above the industry average. It also praised ‘the highest and most stable assets under management in the peer group, while some competitors are recording declines’. According to the jury, the basis for this success is ‘the experienced team’ and the ‘consistently high sustainability focus’ of the concepts. Another key factor is the ‘excellent local presence in European markets’.
The jury's reasoning:
The jury emphasises the above-average performance of the global funds and, in particular, the top ranking of Deka-ImmobilienGlobal. At 93.5 per cent, the average occupancy rate over three years is also above the competitive average. Success factors for portfolio quality include the ‘strong international presence in 13 locations’ and ‘excellent access to real estate markets’. Scope also honours ‘the team's extensive industry experience, consistently high sustainability focus and transparent reporting’.
The jury's reasoning:
Deka's institutional real estate funds ‘impress with good and stable volume-weighted 1-, 3- and 5-year performance’. Deka Immobilien also performed successfully as a seller on the market. The property sales served ‘primarily to strategically realign the funds’. According to the jury, the ‘consistently high focus on sustainability’ rounds off the strong overall picture.
In addition to the three awards, Deka Immobilien achieved three further top rankings in the following categories:
Best Asset Manager Real Estate Logistics
Best Asset Manager ESG Commercial Real Estate
Best Asset Manager Innovation
The Scope Awards have a long tradition and were presented for the 20th time. They are considered the most important award for funds and asset managers in German-speaking countries. Once a year, the most convincing fund concepts and outstanding achievements in fund management and asset management are honoured. In addition to fund management, the evaluation criteria also include the investment process.
