Deka Immobilien has extended the lease with United Cinemas International (UCI) at Hürth Park near Cologne for another 15 years. This means that the first multiplex cinema ever built in continental Europe, occupying nearly 9,000 sqm, will continue to play a central role at this landmark location.
Hürth Park is one of the region’s most significant retail destinations – and much more than a traditional shopping center. It is not only among the 25 largest shopping centers in Germany but also the largest in the Cologne area.
Spread across three levels with an open-air, pedestrianized atmosphere, the center offers more than 70,000 sqm of leasable space, around 150 stores, and approximately 2,000 free parking spaces. Its prime location – just 20 minutes from Cologne and 30 minutes from Bonn – along with excellent transport connections via a direct bus terminal and the nearby A4 motorway, further adds to its appeal.
Beyond shopping and dining, Hürth Park is known for its exceptional variety of services. Two medical centers, a gynecological day clinic, banks, a vehicle registration office, and the public health department of the Rhein-Erft district make it a highly frequented destination – well beyond the city limits.
